This is one of those letters that more than likely my dad will never read, but I am going to write it any way.
I feel really lucky that I have a dad that has always been a part of my life. He has always taken an active role in the things that I have done and has shown me on more than one occassion that he will drop everything to come to my aid. I have never questioned his love for me, my mom or my siblings (even through my awful "parents are lame" teenage phase). His love for us has always been evident in the things that he has done for us. He is more of a "I show my love for you by the things that I do for you" kind of father. But he will never shy away from a hug and an "I love you". He takes the time to call me regularly and asks real sincere questions about how I am doing. That means the world to me. All these things mean the world to me! I admire that he is always himself-no matter who is present-he is who he is! Dad you are a hard worker and you don't quit. It is those two lessons you taught me that helped me-daily-on my mission, and even as a wife and mother.
Dad, I could write all night about you and still never quite get it all, but I want you to know that I love you, I respect you, I am grateful that you are a part of my life-a very special part. I know I don't say it often enough or even at the times that you maybe need to hear it most, but thank you for being my dad and a good one! Happy Father's Day!!!
