15 weeks

Slowly, but surely, time goes by. Atleast that is how I feel when I am pregnant. I find myself sighing that I am only 15 weeks along. It sure beats 5 weeks along though. We go to the doctor today for a check up and I have decided to take the kids along with us. I want them to be a part of this. I thought that they might enjoy hearing the baby's heart beat. Ashley is always telling the baby stories and is ever so willing to sing it a song with me. It is fun to see how much she understands about another baby joining our family. Jackson on the other hand, still feels that he is my baby and he is. He is my tender-hearted, sensitive and yet still rough little boy. He has really developed a huge preference for his dad lately. He only lets Jason hold him when we go out together. Only Dad can push the stroller when we go for walks and Dad is the all time best ever person to go look for spiders, crickets and other bugs with (Jack's obsession right now).
It hasn't taken me long to realize that I love what I am doing. I may not have a college degree, or read a book every week or be able to carry on a highly intellectual conversation, but I can understand a 2 year old, I can do several voices when reading a story to my kids and I can even make up a pretty good princess story on the spot. I may not be remembered by most people, but to two, almost three, people, I am the world!!! And I am soooo fine with that.

This was a great post Tanya! I feel that way so many times about motherhood. Sometimes I wonder if I'm making any difference in the world, then I realize I am in my family.
I also love your quote from the last post. I hate ironing, that's why I never do it! :)

Very cute post. You have a way of saying things perfectly. I also agree with the ironing quote. I hear Grandma Hatch does enough for all of us. I use the spray wrinkle release. Works fabulous!

I'm so glad you are moving up on the pregnancy. I hope you are feeling well now. It does go by fast the next few months.
